Another Day Another…Day

Today was nothing. All period Goshorn writhed around worrying about what to delete on his ridiculously small hard drive in order to render a video for a teacher’s accredidation thingamajigger. So while he did this I continued on my quest to make the world a better place via a windows installed flash drive. I finally managed to slipstream my install disk using the instructions provided at the BartPE website, and will again work on this tommorow. Unfortunately Thursday night is redo everything night, so I will have to be diligent this week in achieving my goal as Technology Assistant. Yay!

Here’s a pretty sweet trailer for the best movie made evar:

I Blame the Maintenence People

The Intern fixes the lighting console.

The Intern fixes the lighting console.

Today we went straight from the library down to the auditorium to begin replacing the electric strips onstage. So we went over to the stage, brought down the lights, and began unscrewing the globes that covered the bulbs. This took about a half hour, and we came away pretty good with only one globe that refused to cooperate. We then just sat in the sound booth waiting for the maintenence people ot show up with the light bulbs. They never came. We ended up looking through the gel samples and playing with the classic Trouperette, a spotlight that must’ve gone through the war, no lie. Well, times a wastin’. See you tommorow hopefully, with a more constant blogging experience.

Here We Are

A few weeks later and none the worse I wager. For the past umpteenth weeks I have been attempting to install windows to a flash drive. I have long since given up on Bart’s Preinstalled Environment, as I don’t understand what it wants from me. Instead, I have found another article at www.ngine.de/article/id/8

It is an extremely easy to read and understand article. I tried doing the whole process once, but in my haste I accidentally forgot to slipstream the xp install disk with the Service Pack 1 from Windows. This resulted in the computer being unable to find several vital files such as usbehdc or something. I am hoping this will alleviate the problem, slipstreaming SP1.

Anyway, Goshorn and I now both have Dual Screen Monitors, and with some software he downloaded, he can now use my laptop as a third, making him the ultimate tech god!

Since I Haven’t Done Any Embedding…

Well, since I haven’t done much blogging in awhile, I might as well give you something worthwhile to look at.

Here is the alternate video if this current method I’m working on fails miserably…again.

Hello There

My name is Jacob Hartwig, and I will be keeping a blog on my daily activities as the Tech Jobler of East Pennsboro. Ha, or I’ll try/ have been trying. So, the school’s filter is basically wack, and whenever I try to sign on to blogger at school, it doesn’t want to work. Anyway, here I am.

Today was pretty boring. I started off by being sent off to record some class for the National Accredition poop. It was very dull and tedious. I am very thankful I was not in that class. Anyway, I got back to the tech room, and Goshorn was still not back, as he was kept busy by all the teachers getting confuzzled over the new smart boards that were just installed today.

Instead of letting me off the hook to relax, he decided to make me transcribe this message onto a word document so he could make a blurb about it on the school website. Blah. It was really boring. But it wasn’t that bad as it kept me occupied for about 10 minutes.

Wikispaceesss Yaaay!!

At epes4.wikispaces.com or something I created my very own wikispace page. This was mainly in order to see how the program of wikispaces works, and to help students by gaining knowledge of my own. I also put three dragonball Z videos in. Fuun.

Welcoming Students

Today and yesterday Mr. Goshorn and I traveled all throughout the school in search of students in “welcoming” poses. While I have absolutely no idea what this means, Goshorn seems to have had some idea. We went around and got happy students, students opening doors, and other similar things. This is one of the last pictures taken, that I personally feel exemplifies what our school is all about:

Ya for bashing the school and its spending! Anyway, now we are in the process of selecting which pictures that were taken to go on to the slideshow for which they were intended.

Well then, here we go.

Today I went up to Mrs. Waldman’s room on my first solo venture as the tech coach assistant. Apparently her laptop, and thus smart board, were randomly going into standby mode. Goshorn ran me through what to do, and I went up and helped her out. Her battery settings were set to optimized battery life, so whenever she let it idle, the computer would attempt to save the battery. So Goshorn told me to switch the settings to maximum performance, so it would not idle. Yay!

Run for your lives, the robot apocalypse is coming.

Thanks to the warnings from a fellow blogger at www.geekologie.com, it is now time to warn you of the robot apocalypse. For years we have been developing sophisticated and dangerous robots. The day is coming when they will turn on us.
